Movement: Static to kinetic

Pleats Design

Our inspiration for the Linea Collection stems from architecture and geometry.  Our creation is a series of objects which can stand alone with strength and presence. But these objects are not static. They carry function which compliment a women's life with style and utility. We wanted to infuse this function with grace by having faces and edges of the geometry cohesively work together to open and close. This graceful movement was a key element in the design of the Linea collection.

Concept to realization: methodology of our designs

Pleats Design

Rooted in pure geometry, our structured form design is brought to life through a combination of methods. Our approach to purse design closely mirrors that of our architecture design process. Volumetric forms begin as a series of sketches and models, the computer brings them together for a dimensional reality. The finished result echoes a minimalist purity, but has been worked through numerous iterations to achieve that effortless feel.
